I've been told the max distance between the lowboy trailer wheels is 6'10" by law. My truck is about 90" at its widest at the rear duals. I like the lowboy at 21" high but I'm not sure I can get by with 82" at the rear with the outer duals hanging off the side of the trailer when it is loaded. That just doesn't seem safe. As for the trailer weight: I thought the trailer+ load(firetruck) couldn't go above 22,000lbs. The trailer can be 14,600 max so you can have a 14,600 trailer and still load it up to 22,000 lbs total weight. Am I figuring that wrong?

Still researching this thing before I buy one of any kind and size. Thanks all for the help.
