I have a rebuilt 1954 and have previously owned 3 216 motored trucks, the 235 is a slick easy conversion and a much better long-term solution. I bought the motor and essentially a 3/4 complete 1954 3600 that was a languishing project for $1800 After selling off all the parts that came with it the motor ended up costing me $600.
