If this was mine and it was running, I would get the valves grounds with stock valve seats, keep the guides as is or replace only as needed. Power wash the block inside and out. Hone the cylinders myself, add new rings to the stock pistons, shim up the rods and crank bearings, and new gaskets and paint. I might change out the timing gears if they show wear so check the backlash before tearing it down.
Do as much of the work as you can because your labor is free!
