Tony, if you and your arrogance survive long enough to see a tenth of the gory wrecks I've had to recover, maybe you'll develop the maturity to appreciate my point of view. The one that really got my attention was a picture, though, not an on-the-scene observation. A broken weld on a steering shaft in 1956 put my friend into the inside fence of a converted trotter track at the Nashville, Tennessee state fairgrounds. The top rail of the fence was two 2X4 boards nailed together. They penetrated his chest, and went 10 feet out of the rear window of a 1933 Ford 3-window coupe.

For a 10-year-old boy, that was a very disturbing sight, even as a front-page picture of the Nashville Tennesseean newspaper!
