my neighbor recently bought a five window for $2500 and purrs like a kitten. I offered him 500 more than he gave and he laughed at me. It was not beat up either. That said I usually look at it this way. How many dollars will it take to get it running and driveable. Then if its more than I would be willing to pay for a running vehicle I walk away. I know we all do it for the love of the hobby and personal satisfaction because we love these old trucks. BUT if it doesn't bother you to buy one already running you can buy an older restoration for the fraction of the money and lot less headache than doing it all yourself. Personally I like to do it all, or all I can so that it is MY truck. But after restoring or resurrecting a couple I think a man can buy one already to go and still stand in the circles and talk trash about his accomplishments. In the end, follow your heart which I know is to put it on the road. Go for it.....I did once and six years later I finally got to drive it. Would I change anything...not really.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
