I respect everybodys opinion, altho I don't always agree with it.
In this case, i'm not sure which is worse, sending your truck to the crusher, or spending money to make it look like it just rolled out of one.
At the end of the day, it's dudes truck, and he can do with it what he wants.. there are plenty of people who dig vehicles "slammed".. maybe TOO many.
Seems like everytime I see an old truck (or ANY truck for that matter) it's "slammed" and painted some sort of dayglow color, with the top chopped and deep dish rims and a 350 under the hood.
Some of us collect old trucks because we think they just look cool.. others are into old trucks not only because they look cool, but because they're timeless classics, and feel there is a certian degree of reverence and respect due them.. to chop them up or "slam them" would be akin to someone putting a dress on whatever diety you may subscribe to.
The great thing about a public forum, is that everyone can express their personal views and opinions.. and they won't always parallel your own.
Imagine how boring a place this would be if we all agreed?
