Just when I thought my path was clear …

I do not understand how blocking that port could have a detrimental effect on idling. That heat seems useless to me - especially since I have manual choke. I’m sure that the manifold will warm up sufficiently without it; I doubt the heat reduction will be drastic. And - I’m sure that my carburetor is hotter than I want it to be. It doesn’t need to be 150+ degrees.

What is wrong with using a gasket specifically made to block the port? I’m not planning on using steel wool or some other bubba fix. I’ve spent 3 years un-bubba-ing, not planning on re-bubba-ing.
