Jerry, I believe the CPP steering gear is a knock off of the Toyota. I uses the original GM mounting holes, the hole in the frame for the pitman arm must be enlarged. At first I was going to mount the Saginaw steering gear as you described. After reading about issues others were having with alignment and bump steer I decided to use the CPP steering gear.
