Pulled a rear brake drum today, what a PITA, after all was said and done i found the problem was a stuck emergency brake on that side. Also drained the differential by pulling the cover, did not find the drain plug until after, good thing, there was metal on the magnet, some big chunks. See no damage to ring or pinion! Guess I will now have to dig deeper, I have no history on this truck, maybe previous damage but don't think I can take a chance.
