I was waiting to hear about cutting the frame before commenting on this. You want to maintain comparable stiffness to the unmodified version.

You want to make sure that you keep the frame sufficiently stiff across the front suspension to make sure it doesn't shift under heavy cornering.

Looking at the GM Upfitter Guide there is a big crossmember in front of the axle. Did you keep that? If not, you will definitely want to put in a heavy duty crossmember in the front section.
