3B I think maybe your right in saying not Illegal on brakes,seems like a better lever brake system on the driveline that can be applied as a smooth additional braking force in the form of a large disc brake that is also a parking brake when stopped. Someone commented much earlier about brake application using the value of the differentual gearing either ratio. I have never had my 2-speed axle go into a neutral situation in 13,000 miles,so can't see much problem there. Seems like I have seen a disc on the driveline ,maybe at the gravel pit on the big Cat loader.
