The weld nuts for the hinges are in front of the pillar, so shouldn't pull out, but your note that caution should be observed is a good one.

Not having an actual eye on the damage and where the push was, it's hard to recommend where to pull, but it should be where the push happened. Eric is going to have to make that determination as to where to start pulling and how much to brace.

Here's a view of the area in question without the outer cowl and inner-to-outer cowl piece in place. A hook behind the outer edge could be used, but it would be hard to get behind the pillar below the lowest bolt attachment point and it looks like it needs to be pulled backward there.
