1.) Without breaking the bank
2.) Without major modification
3.) Something that looks original
Conclusion:
The forum recommends, as Panic stated earlier, the original 292 carburetor.
If you plan to rebuild your 292, I would first find an original carburetor, install it and run it on your engine before rebuilding your engine.
You will want a known good carburetor for break-in. Later on, over time, you can try other options.
