Went by the machine shop today to have a look and drop off some cash. Head is done and block is getting ready for rebore:

I've changed my mind and decided to do what I can to make this engine look like the original, including the top-nut valve cover. The one on the original 216 leaks bad. I've reworked the edges and changed the gasket and it still always leaks in the back. I would like to use it though on the 261. Has anyone tried drilling out the four bolt perimeter pattern on a 216 cover? I'm just curious if I do that if it will help seal it better (there will be 6 bolts/nuts in total)
