I would definitely be interested in a bolt on disc brake solution. I have a 1955 Chevy first series 6400 2 ton truck. I am restoring it to haul firewood from the mountains, steep trails, so I need all the braking I can get. The rear brake shoes are 4" wide, front are 2 1/2" wide. I'm not sure what proportion of braking the rear brakes do but I do know that front disc's would improve the overall braking. Please keep updating your post as you make progress.
