The motor did come from a 12 volt 1955.2. I have the 12 volt coil, ignition resistor and the 12 volt conversion starter with a button switch with side terminal. I don’t have a voltage reducers for gauges. I’m missing the gauges,(if anyone has a extra pair laying around I’m looking for some). I know I have to swap out the 6 volt lights for 12 volts. The distributor has this on it i don’t know what it is, and does the red wire coming from distributor go to the + slide of the coil and from the + coil to the side switch on the starter? I’m not sure about turn Signals, did the 47 come with turn Signals? I guess I should.
I have gone over the tech tips on 12v conversion a few time. Still seems complicated, nerve racking.
Are you sure this harness will work?
Will I be able to use the stomp starter, gauges?
I understand 5. it’s just like the 47 wire diagram.
I don’t understand 6. What wire to fuse panel, and where on the fuse panel? That wire normally goes to B on the volt. reg. But we’re not doing that because the alternator is getting installed, correct?
A wire from Ammeter - To ignition switch, ok.
And the 10 gauge to alternator battery stud from the Ammeter - also?
Thanks guy,
