They were called "Dual Jet". As you said they are the front half of a Q-Jet. The only problem is/was that they had a funky bolt pattern. As always, there are a few on ebay. Your suggestion of the Rochester 2 bbl (some were called 2 Jets!!) is probably the better way to go.
