16.09.30 picked up motor from Kraushaar Machine Services, Tillsonburg complete rebuild, finished.$3840.68 w/ taxes due to couple extra parts, service distributor, machine intake and exhaust.
16.10.02 removed top of transmission, to inspect. corrosion on some teeth, no other obvious signs of damage. Front bearing allowing input shaft to deflect tiny bit, rear seal leaking.

16.10.13 son n I reinstalled most parts on engine. Changed transmission oil, was mildly milky but otherwise fine
16.10.... completing reinstall all equipment for starting motor. Temporarily installed (cheap CTC $??? Tachometer with tape to steering column.
16.10.29 installed everything, checked electrical. Couldn't quite line up exhaust.
16.10.30 Son bolted up exhaust. Friend came over to help break in run. Started but would only run with spray in carb. Friend attempted checking timing, could not see timing mark at indicator. We found petcock valve partially closed, started, and run for break in. Ran fairly well, 2000 rpm for 30 min with 2400 rpm for 5 minutes mid run. After break in idled decent at 650 rpm for 5 to 10 minutes before shut down. Revving during idle period caused stumble.
16.11.06 got almost all bodywork reattached, grill back in as well.

bumper pan scratched though.
16.11.07 a few of the remaining bolts in. Took for test drive. Stopped at another friends checked timing, he found very far advanced, adjusted as much as possible. Running touch better, but still doesn't like over 3000 to 3200 RPM. Transmission shifting much smoother.
16.11.11 brought truck to Firehall, changed oil & filter MILEAGE 15324, adjusted parking brake. Parked at house for night.
16.11.12 connected tachometer light to switched power, flushed and connected heater, cleaned and reconnected heater fan, moved resistors to under hood temporarily wire tied to fender brace rod. Drilled and wire tied front extinguisher bracket handle.
16.11.19 adjusted dwell to 32 or 33' adjusted timing to about 12' at 1200 RPM, wont idle, hard to start cold.
16.11.26 played with timing, running good 1000 RPM Plus, wont idle, hard to start cold. Found fuel supply seemed inconsistent.
16.11.28 replaced fuel pump. NAPA part. 41169
16.12.03 Friend came over to help son n I check engine adjustments. Relied on my setup of dwell. Re-adjusted timing by checking for TDC (relied on pulley mark) and then rotor position. Once started n warmed up set up timing to about 8' at 700ish RPM. Played with carb adjustments, didn't improve much. Disconnected and plugged vacuum accessories, carb faults got worse - leaks at plate rods and gaskets. Wait for carburetor rebuild.
