So, I'm gonna start posting the log I've been keeping of our truck. I've included most costs to give others an idea. Feel free to ask questions back. Also, feel free to move this if you think you need to awesome moderators.
Purchased from Robert Laidman 15.12.30 Picked up 16.01.04 - flat towed by George (Trevor's friend’s dad) from Nanticoke, con. 3 Walpole, just West of Reg. RD. 55

16.01.27 Lock cylinders kit purchased, Bill's truck shop $163
16.01.27 upper rad hose, fanbelt. Gail's $15
16.01.30 ownership transfer and tax $170
16.01.30 installed lockset. taking Park brake apart rad hose, fanbelt
Thru Feb. Removed parking brake shoes, master cylinder, hydrovac
16.02.28 Tried starting truck no go. Traced wiring. Checked all electrical equipment - all works except horn, signals, brake lights, cab flasher, engine bay siren.
16.03.02 Delivered brake parts to John Stuart Brakes
16.03.06 wiring checks, horn and brake lights now working
16.03.15 rec'd brake parts back. MC $275, parking brake shoes $123.32, hydrovac $492.50 total with taxes $1006.63
16.03.19 brake parts above installed lines not connected, used park brake to drive truck to Firehall for rinse and brush.
16.03.26 replaced brake line, splitter to front. connected and bled brake system. Vacuum not connected to hydrovac. Brakes initially soft, once running good. Truck driven around farm.
16.04.02 connect hydrovac vacuum line with metal sleeve & SAP tape, removed alternator for testing, bearings poor, terminal broken
16.04.04 New alternator purchased NAPA #213-4011. $123.34 less core charge $12.06 GM type 10si
16.04.09 installed new alternator, terminal 1 wire not connected to anything. Troubleshoot signal lights found no power to cct. Temporarily corrected, rears OK, front need rewiring/replacing. Removed gas tank & sending unit. Sending unit needs replacement, tank needs cleaning. Found heater fan powered yet not working.
16.04.14 rec'd parts - pedal floor seals, mc floor plug, gas lines, gas sender unit, choke knob, dash bulbs. $165.38 w/ tax n shipping
16.04.15-17 cleaned gas tank with muriatic acid and then gravel tumble. Replaced tank and new lines, put in MC floor plug, replaced burnt out dash light. Tried working on signals, left stopped flashing, right front hole jammed. Took for drive.
16.04.24 ran truck few times, temp wired FR signal, left rewired, cleaned bulb contacts all working now. Cleaned LR brake light socket. Checked wiper motor will shut off if lever moved. Took heater unit apart, core was hot, fan very stiff to turn & signs of overheating. Shifter n hand brake seals arrived. $13.45
16.04.26 flat towed to Motorworks for safety. No issues, except dead battery on arrival.
16.04.01 still not checked.... did check battery -ok wiring around starter solenoid or coil suspect. Brought ladders home.
16.05.06 safety done $96.05
16.05.07 PLATED ($95.12 for historic plates n sticker to March 2018) and on the road!!!! Drove home from Motorworks. Parked engine out front of community center on display for wing night.
