Don't give up- - - -untold millions of 3-unit mechanical regulators worked well and lasted a long time from the 1930's to the late 1960's- - - -it's not like all of them suddenly got obsolete and non-functional! Find an original-equipment Delco regulator, adjust it right one time, and forget about it! Aftermarket new regulators are mostly foreign-made junk.
