I am definitely going to get the mechanical regulator working. I did the research I mentioned and provided it for informational purposes. The regulator I bought is made in the USA. It is substantially heavier than the cheap one in the truck when I bought it. It regulates the voltage great. I just need to get the cut out dialed in. I am waiting on a big rheostat that I ordered to get started. I can't wait to get it working. Thanks again for all the great info. I could never finish my truck without help from all the great people here.
