You are not crazy or alone! I just double checked my '49 3100 and I also have the tracked door weather stripping and the welded in cab ceiling support with holes for a screw in headliner. I'll have to go back and look for the holes in the sides of the dash that Brad posted the pictures of earlier.
I think both our trucks are definitely case of mixed configurations from a mid year change.
