squirrel meat is a delicacy, it's fatty and high cholesterol, so very tasty grin if you're going 'back to the land' you should learn to eat local .... and a way to keep them away from your truck would be to plant nuts trees for them out away from the homestead, harvest some of the nuts yourself and dry them properly to store, scatter some near the trees in late winter/spring when their stash is getting low
