Hotrod is absolutely right. Take it out, take it apart and clean it better than the dishes you eat on. Remove any block plugs so you can clean the passage ways. If you see sparklys in the pan, they are else where.
The rod bearings get their oil after the main bearings (Hotrod will correct me if I'm wrong) so if the mains look starved, then the rods will have been starved too.
