I have very little actual experience with my R10 since its being restored, but when I did try it, I put it in 2nd and when I wanted it in 5th (same position), I had to push in on the clutch, take it out of 2nd and put it right back into 2nd and when I released the clutch, it was in 5th. Same with 1 and 4 and 3 and 6. It did this very reliably.
Since I have all of the documentation, I should read it huh? lol!
