Might have found why the overdrive wasn't working. Took the trans apart to replace the tailshaft bushing and notice that the solinoid was not hooked to the little piece that works back and forth. Not sure what it's called. So i held it in place and installed the solinoid. I reassembled the trans and will try it out in a few days. Did seem odd that the piece wasn't connected to the shaft of the solinoid. Actually had to pull it and hold it in place. If i ever have to change the solinoid seems like the piece it hooks into will fall back down.
