While Deve's results look good on the outside I'm still a firm believer in heating the bare rivet then installing and setting.
I don't like heating the frame as much as is necessary to get a preinstalled rivet white hot. With a good plan and helper heating and then installing can be done very quickly.

So while I did try to answer questions and advise best I could
