Don't think they were called 'longbeds' in 41. They were 3/4 ton. The light duty 3/4 ton had the same brakes, six lug wheels etc. as the 1/2 ton, just longer.
BTW, if you are going custom, I'm looking for a differential/axle housing from a truck such as yours.
