But to answer your question, no, ..only a 235-262 up to 1962 is a direct bolt in replacement. The bellhousing that is used with that engine is different than the typical Chevrolet bellhousing. Not saying that it couldn't be installed but it would require a considerable amount of fabrication to do it. Some waterpump mod is required.
