For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 27 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 27 | This 1940 GMC AC 302 1 1/2 ton dually pickup. It's original design was a Brush Fire Truck. The Legacy: this Bohemiath of a truck! It worked for the California Forestry Division for the first 50 years of it's life. The first 25 years was on active duty, the last 25 was on reserve. From there, she (Bohemiath, I like that name)worked for a lumber yard (another 20 yrs) near Paradise, California. We purchased this ultra rare truck and she now lives with us in Texas. We took the fire equipment off and is now just a dually and has 30,000 original miles, with original motor. Hope y'all all enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoy the truck ! Randy & Jana Cox

What are your plans for it? | | | | | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 | I can't see it. Is there another link to it? | | | | | Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 27 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 27 | Hey Mr. Spanky, If you type in the link the pics will pop up. I had trouble posting but will try and figure out to fix. This is the first time I've tried to post pics any input on doing this will be greatly appreciated. We've had this truck for a couple of years now. We drive her on the weekends. Torn between restoring or leaving as is. It has such character the way it is and most everyone that sees her loves her paint and her scars.

I do have a few 1.5 T spare parts laying around but no idea what will cross over between a Jimmy & a Chevy (what I have). One long WB frame with the dually rearend & coupla steering gear boxes, columns & such. They free for the takin, I hate to see good iron go to scrap. Just let me know if they sound like something you could put to use. | | | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 48 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2011 Posts: 48 | Cool truck - what a beast! | | |
