Sounds like a good project but since this is the welcoming forum you'll get lots better results if you ask questions in the more appropriate forum. Like engine questions in Engine Forum. Actually there is a separate forum for some of the 60's.
Look around, and learn your way around. Lots of Knowledge and great folks here willing to help.
