This is a door handle relay spring for my 1951 Chevy half ton. The one on the top left is the broken original spring. The one on the top right is a NOS (new old stock) or NORS (new old replacement stock) spring that I bought from a dealer on Ebay. The one on the bottom is one I bought new from one of our well known parts vendors. I installed the one on the bottom and it fit too poorly and was too weak to function. I doubt you'll hear of any "demands" from them to a supplier, like us, they take what they can get, but maybe they'll quit stocking the part so folks won't waste time on it ..... I'd have wound up a spring from some high tensile fence wire

I know it's not to the point, but I keep a variety of different piano wire sizes on the shelf,
with which I can wind my own springs. That one looks like it would be fairly easy to
make a winding jig for. So that would be my out if I needed to replace it.
