Like Scoper27, I'm a definite maybe. I don't even know where Strawberry Plains is? Is it on the Knoxville end of the state (East Tennessee)? I would like to ride up there in a convoy with some other trucks if possible. Any going up from 'round heah?

I'm interested in joining the Southern Reunion, I live in Sevierville so I'm just around the corner, more info please. Also that same weekend is the Spring Rod Run in Pigeon Forge, 19-21 April, this kicks off the Car shows here in Pigeon Forge and about a 30 minute drive from Straw Plains.

Ernie reminded me that he lived about 30 minutes from Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. I checked he map and he is not far off I-40 from the way I look at it.

*** More info will be posted as it becomes available. Like a physical address for those with the fancy GPS. LOL

...I figure Ernie will probably throw on some burgers/dogs or what ever he decides and I'm only guessing here but I doubt he'd mind us bringing something to add to the pile...especially if its sweet smile
More will follow.....ERNIE, you reading along with us?

You are fer sure a Southern boy! People always ask my Kiwi bride, "where are you from up north?" She tells em,"I'm from further south than you are from", usually stifles em. I have a very good friend in Earlwood, outside Sidney.

We'll leave the jug on mate! Last time I was in OZ TPR57C was in '92.I am in New Zealand every year, sometimes twice a year. I went to the ACT (Canberra) to participate in the opening of the Vietnam Memorial in '92. I was there during the war in Kings Cross (Sydney). I have been in Melbourne and Perth at other times,My buddy and I mess around with the old Indian bikes. I meet him at Davenport, Iowa about every two years, or he pops over to NZ when I'm there. I'm due for a visit. My brother-in-law lives in Kempsie (?) NSW.

Alvin, I am 97.5 percent in. I can bring whatever y'all need me to. If you make a list guys of whats needed, just pencil me in whatever you need.
Pete

I look forward to hosting the Gab-fest this year. I knew the weekend of April 20th coincided with the Spring Rod Run in Pigeon Forge. For those of you that have never experienced the Rod Run, this will be a great opportunity to enjoy 2 events in one day or plan to stay in the area over the weekend.

If anyone has any special dietary requirements, please let me know. I will be happy to accommodate.

See you soon!

Bartsman, check the Florida gabfest thread. I listed most of the names I know about there.
I'm still not sure if I can make it. I'm trying but its looking doubtful for Daytona. So far I think Wayne has about 8-10 bolters that are on the list and a couple other friends/future bolters will be there to. Maybe some more at the last minute. I sure want to go, dang it.

Bartmans41 -

EDIT: I read a few more threads and see that you have already contacted Wayne. See you Sat.

Looks like Alvin is sending you to take his place at the Florida GABFEST this Saturday Mar 23 at the Daytona Spring Turkey Run. Looking forward to meeting you. Hope that Alvin has a change of heart and joins us too.

You will need a special windshield sticker to park in the club parking area with us. Our club is "Stovebolt.com Forum." Send a PM to Wayne Malm "Wayne67vert" for info about the sticker. You can get one from us at the event. ($5)

We will be parked in the "Tunnel Compound" club parking near the Tunnel Entrance at turn 4. We will be between the antique race cars and the Fly Wheelers.

Hope to see you Saturday. Call me if you can't find us - - (407) 670-9679 cell. Keep trying if no answer; the ring may be difficult for me to hear.

Tennessee Southern Stovebolters - thanks for letting me butt into your thread.

Ok Fellow Stovebolter's ... April 20th is just 4 weekends away. Start planning your trip to Strawberry Plains, TN. If you are thinking about joining us and need overnight accomodations, cabins and hotels will be filling up quickly due to the Rod Run show in Pigeon Forge - if they haven't already.

Mark your calendars and let us know if you plan to attend.

THREE Weeks to go. I've sent out a few emails but there are lots of bolters in N.C, Tenn, Ky, Va. and W.Va. that I don't have on an email list that need to sign in here so Ernie will know how many to grille for.
Set your GPS, or mapquest, for 300 Big Bend Rd. Strawberry Plains, Tennessee for April 20. As we get close we can list a phone number or two just in case someone needs us. If your bolt is not ready then drive what you have to. Bring pics of your projects. I plan to drive the Panel but I'm having a couple driveline issues to clear up...if not it'll be the 37!!!

Ernie, what time you want us to start showing up?

So has anyone heard what time Smokey Mtn 53 is expecting everyone to start arriving? Right now it looks like it's going to be a nice day, partly cloudy with highs in the low 60's. See you all there....

Hello Southern Reunion 'Bolters! I wanted to extend on open welcome to all Stovebolters to join us for a great day full of food, fun and fellowship.

I wake up every morning and have a cup of coffee with the rooster before we both head off to work ... so please feel free to come out anytime and stay as late as you would like. If you want me to set a specific time, I would say 9:00am til .... but feel free to come out before 9:00am.

Please let this be a "no schedule" kind of event and come/go as you want. I will keep the grill fired up throughout the lunchtime hours of 11:30am - 2:30pm. If anyone shows up after 2:30pm, don't worry ... I can get the grill going and you will not go hungry.

I look forward to meeting everyone at the reunion.

I don't know yet if I will be there or not, I really hope to make it. But I won't know till Saturday morning.

I'm also hoping to be able to make it to rod runs for a few mins, so if all works out, I'll be there. If not, I hope to make it to the next one.
