I cleaned up and painted a more period correct inside rear view mirror for my 37,I had installed a billet mirror so I could have a mirror. I picked up the mirror a couple years ago and finally got around to painting it,I also picked up a inside sunvisor that will work but I will have to wait until I get material to redo the interior before even thinking about installing it.

Make sure your cut-off switch is rated for the high amprage 6v system, otherwise it will be the cause of low current flow.

Got the spotlights back on and working. Glued the new weatherstripping on the doors. Found it is way easier to just take the doors off to glue on the weatherstripping.

The truck rolls a bit with the camper on , so today I fitted new heavy duty 4x4 shocks and that has cured the issue.

But door adjustment is easier to do without the weatherstripping in place.

When I was at the point of weatherstripping the doors I had heard so many horror stories about weatherstripping doors and thought about taking the doors off but, I had heard many more horror stories about hanging doors. That was my motivation for leaving them on.

Luckily I have new hinge pins and bear claw latches. Just got the bolts in, closed the doors and snugged up the bolts. Everything seems to work fine.

Fished in the drivers door latch, replaced the drivers striker plate, temporarily installed the drivers inner door handle, removed the TPI plenum to access the EGR area in preparation of making some intake block off plates. Oh yeah, replaced the broken spring on the drivers door latch mechanism.

Pulled the wire welder out and started welding holes! Holes in the doors from (?) many mirrors installed over the years. Holes above box step for aux. feul tank. Holes on stake pockets where tie down brackets used to be. Holes in dash from missing spotlight. Holes at rear box brace, licence plates? Holes in kick panels for (?). Pert near 40 of em!!! Prevous owners must of run amuck with a drill near as I can figure. Maybe it will stop whistlin when I drive it now! Next..... some grinding work!

Got into the rear brakes on the 57 GMC LCF 370 today, to see what parts I need. Wheel cyl. bores look good, think I will hone and just replace the washers. Found out that it has 2 cyls. per wheel on all 4 corners and they are 1 1/2" bores on all. Shoes look good with plenty of lining left. All 4 return springs were broken, and need the inner seal.
Both adjustment screws were frozen up, got them loose and oiled up. This is just the right rear, who knows whats in the left side. Ready for cleaning every thing, get parts, and put back together and head on over to the left side.

Well, I took the cover off the '59 rearend I picked up Saturday from a fellow bolter. I wanted it to replace the center section in my panel and what to my SURPRISE, it is a 3.38 ration....talk about a happy man. No more 3.90. Wow, the Stovebolt God was sure looking over me today.

Finished the last thing after installing the splash pans, when I ran the new brake linesafter the disc conversion I used the holes for the splash pans to attach the brake lines to the frame so I picked up clips for 1/4 inch bolts.

Replaced the radiator on the '65. The almost brand new Champaion developed a leak. I thought poor workmanship until I got it out and discovered the leak was caused by the condensor tube touching and rubbing on the core. The poor workmanship was mine! Placed a cut ruber hose over the tube and reassembled with a new radiator. I'll have to get this one welded and then I'll put it in the '66.

Took the seat back to the upholsterer to have them re-do the seams that didn't come out that well when they did them last fall. It is going to be spring here before we know and I can get back it again.
