I picked up the mirror a couple years ago and finally got around to painting it,I also picked up a inside sunvisor that will work but I will have to wait until I get material to redo the interior before even thinking about installing it. | | | | Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 323 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 323 | I got the body off the frame on Sunday so Ive been laying on my back scraping and sanding.First coat of Chassis Saver on last night second coat now.Maby I can get it on the finished frame this week end.

She starts up just fine now! Still need to get another length of #0 cable and ring terminals tho so I can add the cutoff switch in. ...couldn't bring myself to cut up the expensive cable even tho it's plenty long. Make sure your cut-off switch is rated for the high amprage 6v system, otherwise it will be the cause of low current flow. When I was at the point of weatherstripping the doors I had heard so many horror stories about weatherstripping doors and thought about taking the doors off but, I had heard many more horror stories about hanging doors. That was my motivation for leaving them on.

Wheel cyl. bores look good, think I will hone and just replace the washers. Found out that it has 2 cyls. per wheel on all 4 corners and they are 1 1/2" bores on all. Shoes look good with plenty of lining left. All 4 return springs were broken, and need the inner seal. Both adjustment screws were frozen up, got them loose and oiled up. This is just the right rear, who knows whats in the left side. Ready for cleaning every thing, get parts, and put back together and head on over to the left side.

The almost brand new Champaion developed a leak. I thought poor workmanship until I got it out and discovered the leak was caused by the condensor tube touching and rubbing on the core. The poor workmanship was mine! Placed a cut ruber hose over the tube and reassembled with a new radiator. I'll have to get this one welded and then I'll put it in the '66.
