Now that I'm ready to reassemble I'm wondering in what order do I put the truck together?
I have the factory assembly manual.
Just wondering so that I don't put on take off a bunch of times.

To put it simply, the same way you took it apart. I dont really think you will get two people to answer this question the same way. Do what makes sense to you.

For me, I would set the engine (on completed chassis), set the cab and then the steering gear/mast. Then, it is in whatever order makes you smile at the end of the day.

Edit: Oops, I assumed an AD truck, might not be the case.

Not a complete description but you might check out the 47-54 forum on Classic Parts of Americas site. It has a sticky near the top that covers a lot of the reassembly process. Not very good with linking stuff but heres the web address:

Is the cab off the frame?

Or the cab off the frame?

the cab is off the frame.
axles and drums are on the frame.
brake lines and master cylinder on the frame.
engine and tranny are on the frame.
having done all that i will now move the frame in that configuration from my old shop to my new shop.
everything is in new paint.
new glass.
new rubber.
the vent windows need to be redone. i have the tech tip for that.
i will be doing 99% of the work by myself.

fuel lines, ebrake, brake lines,then engine and tranny, then cab....then rest a while and think and write down a sequence that makes sence.

i was thinking of trying to make a list but figured as i got into the process it would become clear what the order should be.
i'm wondering mainly when the windows should go in.obviously after the cab is mounted.

As I have said in another post , leave the doors off till last. Everything! is easier!!!! Dash parts install, seats, column, wiring, everything is easier without those darn doors in the way. Do the door glass and rubber items and any other door work on
a carpeted table. Leave the steering wheel off also. Jack up frame real high to get under easily and to have it at chair height for lights, bumper, etc install. you can do the exhaust system while body is off also if you want, as mentioned.

...ditto about the doors. It is much easier to put the weather stripping on with the doors off.
