My dilema is wether to keep it stock or custom it(newer frame and all). I just don't know what to do.I am finacially strapped like everybody else so keeping that in mind, I do have friends that can help me if I could just make up my mind.Any advice would help. The truck seems to be a real plain jane, not even a turn signal arm or a heater.235 6 cylinder, three on the tree. Please give advice.Please....

You could start out by repairing what needs to be repaired so that you can drive the truck and enjoy it. As time goes by, you may decide you want to make some changes. I would take some time, go to the swap meets and car shows and look at what others have done. Decide what you like and what you don't like. All the while, you can be enjoying your truck. This also gives you time to find out what things cost and decide what you want to do.
You can also do a lot using parts from the junk yard and by doing a lot of the work yourself. Do it the way you like it. If you ask that question here, you will get a hundred different replies. If the truck has no collector or sedimental value, do what you like, most of us won't care and we'll support you. I personally would make it road worthy and drive it. Get a feel for what you like and dislike about the truck. Then start collecting parts and donor vehicles. It's all about having fun,
