1. Opinions: do they look good or do they come across as over the top?
2. Are they of decent quality from the various vendors?

I would not use chrome. Aluminum step plates are available.

I'm leaning toward keeping the original bed steps (they have been painted body color). I may paint the tread portion with another more durable finish, or go to the aluminum step plate. However, I see that 40casey still finds that a bit much. He had rounded the corners and put them on his running boards. I thought they looked pretty nice and could be glued to the ridges on the running boards with out putting holes in everything. I'd like to see the pics again but can't find them and didn't save them. I liked them vs the ones that have the back edge sticking up......and the aluminum can be gotten without the "diamond" shapes on it. Just thinking........ which gets me in trouble. | | |
