on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! The one is froze solid with the plunger all the way in. Casting number is 11652C, 1 1/4 in bore. I have spent a good part of the day today searching the Internet without much luck. for a new or rebuilt master cylinder. I guess us guys with the big trucks are not thought of very much. All anyone has is parts for low riders and hot rods. Nothing for us guys with some class Anyway any suggestions or thoughts. I am going to try my local NAPA Auto & Truck parts store tomorrow. In advance, Thanx GMCPic

He just found another member here (appaloosas, on the 2nd page here) a master cyl. He'll know off the top of his head what you'll need. I will give a call tomorrow to Geoff. Thanz for the info GMCPic

I gave the casting number to Geoff, he had it in stock. He also had all the wheel cylinders and a return spring kit for the front. He was a couple buck cheaper per item than locally. One word of caution, the return springs for the Eaton rear are unavailable. I had my hydrovac rebuilt locally a little cheaper than Geoff wanted for his, though he had one. Scott

I called Geoff today and he has the master cylinder in stock, but for the price it must be GOLD plated.
For the same part, my local NAPA store is $125.00 cheaper and no shipping charges. Both are brand new, not rebuilds.
I had NAPA order the part which will be here Thursday afternoon. I also ordered a rebuild kit for the master cylinder that is coming out.
Then will see what comes next, probably the HydroVac.
I ordered all the return springs, i.e. throttle, clutch and brake, along with flex fuel lines and rubber stops from CLASSIC TRUCK PARTS last night.
Weeeeee such fun...
Thanx ALL

Remember this! Fortunately they are plentiful on 1 1/2 tons and larger with single and two speed rear ends throughout the 60's in case one of your is broken. There are two different colors of springs depending on where they go on the rear brakes. Not that 50+ years of grime and brake dust makes them easy to tell apart... Since I started this thing with these old GMC trucks I have found that parts are cheaper here on the west coast, even up into Oregon and Washington.
And if you look hard enough, just as plentiful.
But the guys on the east coast seem to be more knowledgeable.
Thanx for replies. GMCPic

I was lucky on the registration, the previous owner had done a PNO on the truck, so the registration and title were pretty cheap.
NAPA is going to send out the 13 inch Lipp clutch to have it rebuilt for me, 1/3 cost of a new one.
