| | | | Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 23 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 23 | Well, my son and I have FINALLY started working on restoring the truck I learned to drive in, a 55 Chevy series 2.
I joined this forum because I'm a software developer, not a mechanic and I'm going to need all the advice I can get! We have the truck torn down to the frame and I'm just waiting to get the 250 engine sold so that we can remove the front/rear end and have the frame dipped. I'm putting on a new front/rear end and dropping a 350 into it. Obviously, we're not going original and I'm sure that once I get to decision of tranny, rear, etc. I'll need help from the experts. Hopefully, that's where you will all come in!

Somewhere in this site,there is an expert at whatever stage of the rebuild you are in,be it engine work,tranny,body WHATEVER!Some one here will help. Have fun.
