If made in the USA is important to you, make sure you read the package before you purchase. A LOT of tools are still moving off shore because the "store buyers" feel there is no reason to keep it local. Old reliables are moving, be careful! Probably same prices, but not the same stuff.

....and don't mis-read the labels when in a hurry. Assembled in USA, or packaged in USA does not mean its MADE in the USA

We can bring the jobs back if we refuse to buy them. Just be sure to tell the merchant why you put them back on the rack. I see good used USA made hand tools at auctions all the time that sell for next to nothing.

Tiny, I do it all the time, especially on stuff that I can really do without.
Example: while searching for jeans I ask in a sort of loud way.."ya'll got any AMERICAN made jeans" and the response was "no, I don't think so". At that point I told them there are places I know of that do make American jeans and I'll be buying mine from them. I love the look on their faces. Could this be why my wife don't like to go shopping with me??

LOL I went into a Red Wing shoe store a while back, and I stormed out of there when i nearly found out that almost all of the work boots are now made in China. My GF at the time looked at me like I was crazy, but at least to say I did feel like a smarter shopper than she is

USA TOOL MANUFACTURERS I think this data is incorrect too! If they are so proud of what they sell, why can't the manufacturers put the country of origin on their tools?

I have some old craftsmen , and I bought my youngest son a small starter set you can just feel the roughness, holding his rachet make me think i am holding a wrasp ! very sad!
