For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 1,388 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 1,388 | So, after seeing some pictures on occasion of the cool old tyme grill and radiator guards, I thought it might be nice to see them in one place.
If you've got a Smash-Hit, or other guard, I'd like to see it. I really like these, and if I don't happen upon one, someday I'd like to build one, 'cause I think they look so cool. They are so unlike anything made today.
(I tried searching to no avail for this before I posted, if I missed an old thread you know of, feel free to point me there.)
Thanks. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 2,897 Socket Breaker | | Socket Breaker Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 2,897 | | | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 695 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 695 | Mine is on my Profile. Deluxe trim, signals, sweet guard. What a machine! Probably has a hat holder inside for that fellow in front, maybe even the umbrella holder!
These are stills from that (is it '48?) Chev film right? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 | It is from the 1951 dealer film on truck accessories. I have over 300 filmstrips from 1930-1962 that I am slowly converting over to CD's | | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 | The way people drive in your town Christopher, I can see you would need one!
