My wife and I just purchased a restored '58 Apache, stepside, short box. We have been wanting an old truck for quite sometime now and it's pretty cool to finally have one! It was restored by a guy in VT back in '98 so it's not perfect but it's a real fun driver with a bored out 350, cam, 4 barrel, headers, Camaro front end. The truck is slightly more modified than what we were looking for and it is quite yellow, watch for pics coming soon!

I'm not sure if you can see the truck from this link but I will try...

You certainly wouldn't miss that on a dark night!

Nice looking truck,I see you also have a couple other 'toys',assuming that's your garage in the pics.

Nice truck Doug!! Welcome to the Bolt from another Upstater. I did a turn and burn yesterday from Utica (8N to 87N) to Plattsburgh, spent 6 hours there, and back thru Albany to home.

Thanks Chev4t6, We're only 3 miles from exit 31, right on 9N. Refinishing the top wooden rail on the bed of the truck today. Great day for stuff to dry in this bright sunshine. We drove the ole jewel up to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid last night to show the inlaws. We're having lotsa fun with it but the old Mustang is starting to feel left out!

nice truck Doug, but around here that's not a "restored" truck, it's a street rod .... and you might look for a year appropriate rear bumper before paying for chrome on that one, really wrong wink

I'm definitely not having that one rechromed. Thanks for the opinion about the bumper and the terminology lesson!

A lot of those trucks came without a rear bumper. Not sure what the factory one is supposed to look like. Maybe ask that question in one of the other forums. You might get more responses there.
