How about it, guys? Anyone done this? Can I just swap to the 1/2 ton complete cross member? What fits what?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but you should be able to simply bolt in the 1/2 ton ifs. I'm not an expert on the 3/4 ton front end, but if I recall they are essentually the same as the 1/2 ton. What makes you want to swap?

I'm going to agree with Rob, I think they all just bolt in. You might have to drill a few extra holes for the 1/2 ton to bolt in but I think that's about it.

DISC brakes and 5 lug wheels Scott and MO! I have lots of 7" and 8" X 15 5 bolt wheels. Eight lug 16.5 X 6.5s really limit your possibilities for tires. I also found out that I can swap just the lower "A" arms and outer tie rod ends and get to the same place. Also, a '73 -'88 3/4ton cross member with discs will bolt in, too. I guess it depends on what I can find, what I'll do. I'd like to be able to use the stuff I have. Many thanks to everyone for their input.
