Anyone have any suggestions on replacing the main wire from the igintion switch that runs thru the aroumor cable to the coil. I cut the aroumor cable but it doesn't appear to be a way to replace the wire. I know someone out there has a trick of some kind. Thanks

It's really too bad you cut the electrolock. It's unnecessary and it's not difficult to rebuild one. You can pick up a replacement on ebay if you want to keep it original. If you don't care about original and just want a new wire post your e-mail addy & I'll send you a couple of pics along with a description on how to rewire your electrolock.

I still might have the original from my 37 around here somewhere,I am planning on going back to a foot stomp starter in the future but will still use the 53 olds ignition switch I have in the truck now.

OK, what I'm sending you is a copy of an email with a few pics & instructions that I sent some time back to a fellow needing some assistance. You'll see the wrong name on the message and that's the reason. Check your inbox, it's on the way.

Ward, if you and Jeff can get together & make a deal you'll have a much better result that with trying to weld the cable back together.
