There is a new later one on eBay for $200. If I remember correct, 2 of the lugs can be ground off. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 | Thats what I had to do to mine ,grind off the two smaller lugs ,I got mine from Jim Carter when I was at the reunion last year ,went for a visit of the store and found a brand new one on the shelf ,got home and rebuilt the trans.Just take the old one and you'll see what you need to grind it's easy.You will have to make three tools to get it all apart and back together.If you PM me you're e-mail I'll send you the pics of the tools I made ,one is an open end wrench ,needs to be thin ,and the other is a pc. of 1 1/2 angle iron with a hole in it to mount to the rear of the trans to remove the output shaft and than pull it back into the bearing inside the trans and last you have to make a spreader to remove the lock ring for the bearing thats inside the trans for the output shaft.

Got the truck out today for a few warm up laps and it is running OK but not fantastic after sitting covered up all winter. A great deal of humidity has collected and minor rust is showing up. darn. I jst don't feel like puting the spit shine on it again this year.

Check out the Filling Station part #RW-453. These are the two synchronizer rings needed at $35 each. Are you looking for the whole assembly with the synchronizer drum and synchros?
I rebuilt the 3spd transmission in my '53 several years back at $90 for the full kit, minus $20 each for the synchros. Seems prices have skyrocketed in just a few years...
