Finally got my grandpa to hand over the keys to his 50 chevy after bugging him for the better part of 15 years. Its now sitting on my side lot ready for me to get after it. Look forward to a lot of good information on this site. | | | | | Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,716 62401 | | 62401 Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,716 | Welcome Dante and congrats on keeping the truck in the family! He just told me to come down with a trailer and get it out of his shop.
He had a quick and dirty restoration done to it in the mid 90s, so its in real good shape. Took me no time to get it to run for a few seconds on its own. Need a fuel pump to get it to run on its own, but won't be long. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 695 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 695 | You'll make your grandpa proud when you finish it. Ive already told my son that if he chops our 50 when he gets it, he'll get a "time out" He's only 3 years now. (It was his grandpa's truck also.)
Post some pictures of the truck when you get a chance. Being a AZ truck it must be in pretty good shape.
