Are there any tricks to get it flowing? I have turned the spring-loaded valve, but that only seems to put a load on the pump. It spat out a little water when I tried it after replacing the pump motor(electric) but won't move any water when it's all connected.

I always have it all hooked up with the water running and pull the nozzle out of the end of the wand. Pull the trigger and let the air bleed out first.
