My name is Norm and I'm from Vacaville, CA. just out west of Sacramento. I'm a dyed in the wool old six inline guy and have had a lot of fun with them in the past. Right now I have a '32 Chevy four door Confederate sedan that has a '47 Chevy 216 in it along with a T-5 transmission and an open drive line with disc brakes. My past engines have been a 261 with a 12 port head; a 292 with a Self Racing modified head and Weber 38 carb's sitting on a Clifford Engineering Manifold. All have been exceptionally good runners. I stick with these because I cut my eye teeth in 1950 doing a rebuild with my grand dad. He is now gone but that car is being driven by my 22 year old grandson.
I' a retired fireman who had a great 42 year career and my wife is a retired County Sheriff 911 system Supervisor. We have seven children. Normbc9

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Welcome to the Bolt!

I love your handle--so simple, why didn't I think of that?

Hey Norm, can't beat welcoming a dyed in the wool fan of stovebolt sixes. Good to have you join up. Cool that your grandson is driving your grandpa's project car. I sense that you will be answering more than asking here.

You all are right. I'm at home now among friends and others who enjoy this like I do. My wife still insists I'm the lead man of the honey do dept. But I couldn't have chosen better company. Thank you for the warm friendly welcome. I'm an old farm boy so things like Moreland's, Federal. Diamond T and Hall-Scott aren't new words to me. I'll try to chime in and help where I can. I really do feel at home.
