All I remember finding in mine, while rebuilding the bed, was a tiny cast toy of a Jeep FC pickup, just like my dad used to have. Only he had the real thing. The toy was in the right rear stake hole.

Evidently the local garters found it a good skinshedding spot. There were live snakes too, and when a local farmer pulled me out I felt a bit like Indiana Jones, wondering if we'd missed a few snakes. The mouse nest in the muffler sprayed all over the barn on starting- the mice had left on the trip to the barn. Dave

Such as: One bin (three shelves) held various containers of nails, everything from large framing nails to small finishing nails. In another bin, was glue, varnish, paint remover and unknown contents in un-marked bottles. The highlight to the box contents was a fire extingusher. It is about the size of a 12 oz beverage can and has a pull tab top to activate it.
In the glove box was a 1958 Michigan road map, a can of touch up interior spray paint and a "construction vest pocket calculator" from 1954. I now know what the rate of construction supplies and labor cost.....in 1954.

But the big find was three years of registration from the mid 80's. I Googled the name and state of the listed owner, found a possible match on a quilting site (Female owner). Emailed her, and had a response within 1 hour. We spoke a few days later - Priceless!

Behind the seat I found a jug of anti-freeze, a can of brake fluid, the handle to the jack I hope i never have to use, jumper cables, an assortment of rags and gloves, the spout attachment to the gas can mounted on the bed step on the passenger's side, a spout for puncturing an oil can (when it came in cans), in the glove box I found 2 sets of points(one might go to the 283 in the truck, the other no way), a main bearing seal that can not go to this truck, and a thermostat--also a crescent wrench and an ice scraper.
Some stuff can give a clue to some of the issues your truck has and some are just puzzling.
